Let's Wish Upon A Hero

By stirtime - on Oct 4, 2011
Posted in stirringtime

Like I previously posted on someones page,. I don't know if anyone has heard of WUAH but here is the link http://www.wishuponahero.com It's a site where people post wishes for whatever is needed or wanted and others look at the post and possibly grant the wish, they are then called a "HERO" This is done in hopes that someday we too can be a "HERO", even a small thing can be gratifying. All you need to do is register for free and then after you submit proof of who you are, you will be able to post wishes. Oh and you can also look at the wishes to see if there is any you can do you'd be surprised. I didn't and still don't have anything to spare myself but I was able to send a card to someone who had wished for one and even donated a couple dollars towards care packs being sent overseas. So you never know what kind wishes are there, check it out, and you may just have a hero of your own somewhere out there.

in response to PittsburghMomma...   I am glad I met you too and can call you friend. You just start chatting with people and you make friends. I haven't been to FCC had a hard time getting in there. So I will try it again. Eventually, you should get more phones from WUAH. It takes time to get the word out and craigslist.org is good place to start. You can ask from all states provided they pay shipping.
Good luck

in response to Starshine...   Thank you so much Starshine. I love comming to aidpage as often as i can, it seems to be my second family, I get the boost of encouragment and happiness that helps me to look to a happier thought. I am glad I met you and that I can call you my friend.
I have a wish for phones for FCC on WUAH, only one has offered to grant my wish but it has been about 2 weeks and the girl has not responded to my PM's and not sent the phones she offered to send. I have the info on here,WUAH and spreading the word on FCC, and in emails in yahoo groups, I post it on Craigslist and I even have a couple collection boxes around my town. Milodeke (from FCC) has put the info on her page, and in her blog and on facebook...so I pray that help comes soon.

in response to PittsburghMomma...   Thank you PittsburghMomma for the birthday wishes. Your wish to help out FCC is great. That is your passion and what you want to do. Put a wish in at wishuponahero.com and microgiving.com. The latter to see what they might be able to do to get you back home to your family. And eventually get your daughter back.
There was a lady who was a psychologist. I forgot her name but she had a saying about telling yourself in the mirror I love you, blow yourself a kiss and to wrap your arms around you and hug yourself. I agree with you it is not the gifts but the love of others celebrating birthdays and holidays with that matter the most. But until that times happens as you said, we have to be strong till that time arrives.
Your wishing to be with your family is very normal.
Have a good night and try to do something for you.

in response to Starshine...   Happy Belated Birthday Starshine!
I'm not expecting any gifts or physical cards to be sent to me, Emails are FREE and say the same cheer that a phsyical card can! On FCC my Birthday Wish is for donations (the cell phones and small electronics that I am collecting) so I can help FCC, it sounds silly that my wish isnt something for me but for a way for me to help a charity. I really hope that wish comes true, because I know my wish for myself and babies probably wont. (to get a house so my little girl can come home.)
Without my family being here and without friends near by it is a bit depressing, because I am so use to haveing a small get together with my family for a birthday dinner and some cake and ice cream and my parents always get me a small gift which last year it was a card with $21 one dallar bills. It isnt about the gifts or even the dinner, I already miss the love that I won't get this year,I miss the birthday hugs and even the kisses too.I know its kind of lame, but I'm going to try to keep strong and get thru it.

Some of us may have loved ones to share this day with, some of us may be all alone, and some of us may not celibrate holidays at all. Well as a friend and Familia, I wanted to tell everyone on Aidpage Happy V-Day. Many blessings and know that I am here for all yinz if anyone needs to talk, vent, or just need a friend, just know that I am a message away!

Many Blessings for love, health & happiness to all the wonderfull people on aidpage!

Here is a poem for all of AidPage it is very true for all of you so I was compelled to share with my V-Day Cheer:

People come and people go,
In and out of your life and so,
When one shines bright among the rest,
And is there when needed, you’re truly blessed.
That is how I see you, friend of mine,
And why I’m sending this Valentine.

Lots of Love,

PittsburghMomma

Dear Santa, Please bring my two kids surprises for CHRISTMAS. PLEASE, please, PLEEEZZ

By Anonymous - on Dec 3, 2008
Posted in kartracer

I have been off work for the past two months due to unexplained debilitating headaches.  I go to the VA, but they are not in any hurry to get this diagnoses.  I have had numerous testing and have an MRI coming up.  They say they suspect a pituitary tumor.  My wife can't work due to being in end stage liver disease (PBC). She needs a transplant!  My kids have soo much stress worring about their mom and now here i get sick!  :(  We are soooo behind on bills and I just can't afford anything for Christmas this year.  Please Please "Santa" help us.  My daughter is 11 and my son is 13.  They would apreciate any surprises..........even just Christmas cards.  They have asked for that new kind of video game, which is outta the question..........if anyone out there has a USED video game they would be SOOOOOOOOOOO happy.

thanks and blessings to all,

Bryan
